THE CHARMING SANTA BARBARA: CHOCOLATE MAYA

When a cup of tea simply won't do, and I'm in need something rich and with more kick, I step inside the wonderful world of Chocolate Maya . . . 


Maya is a chocolatier from Switzerland with a serious conviction for cacao. She's deeply knowledgable and passionate about her subject, chocolate. Maya spins her own subtly exotic confections (shown in my photos here) and sells an assortment of heavenly bars from around the world. 

Perhaps her most indulgent item is the hot chocolate she creates, from good quality dark chocolate and nothing else. This simplicity is brilliant and the hot chocolate like a muddy, deep chocolate dream!
